M. Shyamalan's Lady in the Water

OK - I have just watched this film and I have to say that I can't understand why people didn't like it. I thought it was a beautiful, whistful story, with elegant acting and a wonderfully sweet ending. And Shyamalan may have cast himself in a prominent position, but it be frank if I hadn't known that it was him I wouldn't have had a clue that he wasn't an actor.

I have to say though, I did feel sorry for the scrunt at the end - all I could see was a grass covered german shepherd!

Long awaited update...

OK I haven't posted in ages but in myu defense there has been alot going on! Sherb had to have another operation for the same reason as before - luckily this one seems to have sorted out his problems for good (touch wood), Thai had to have staples in her side as a result of an altercation in the garden with Sherbie, John had to use crutches for a few days when he stood on a nail and also had to have a tooth out under general anesthetic! I am the only one yet to fall, so I am on the look out for ladders over my path and black cats at the moment.

On top of all that, it was the National Wedding Show this weekend and we were exhibiting so there was a frantic dash to be ready in time and now we have almost 200 demo discs to send out this week so I am swamped!

Sherbies Fine

Well, we were allowed to bring Sherb home last night but only after promising that we would keep him in his cage and keep him calm and quiet. When we picked him up Ivan explained that the infection was worse than he had been apparent from the outside and he had had to remove both anal glands and sherb had had almost 3 hours under anesthetic while he cleaned it all out. He has 2 wounds about an inch and a half long each either side of his anus.

When Ivan bought him out he was VERY dozy and just leant up against John. We took him home in the car and he was asleep before we got there (you can walk there in under two minutes). When he got in he headed straight for his cage andleft asleep. We had to wake him every so often to let him out in the garden, to check that he was OK and to get his blood moving so that he wouldn't be too bruised.

He was so sleepy that when we fed him I took him into the kitchen, turned round and opened the can and turned back to find he had gone back to his cage to go to sleep again!

During the night he was ill (I had to throw the bean bag out) but this morning he is a lot better and he had his post op this morning and the vet was very pleased. Hopefully, all shall heal and he will be a happy bunny again!
